Apr 2nd, 2017We just completed our 7th year as a West Virginia JO gymnastics team, providing an opportunity for local gymnasts to represent their local area in their home state. Gymnastics is a tough sport and we commend those who stuck it through till the end. This year, while we fell short of a state championship, we did take home a couple second and third place finishes. All our gymnasts had some scores in the 9's. Considering our competition, we did great.
Mar 25th, 2017It is a sad day for West Virginia gymnastics. Jerry, the owner of Glendale Gym in Parkersburg, where we attend the Bear Meet, passed away this past Thursday. Jerry built Glendale Gym, which is the first commercial gym in West Virginia, and has seen many great gymnasts pass through there. I know some people do not understand why we make a 5 hour trek to the other side of the state; however, I felt it was important to experience this place; Jerry will be missed.
